Super Bowl LIV was the start to a new era in Kansas. Pro bowl QB Patrick Mahomes lead the Chiefs to a 12-4 regular season, granting them a first round bye and home field advantage for playoffs. They were 1.5 point favorites over the San Francisco 49ers who had a 13-3 record that season. It was a very close game, ending 10-10 at halftime. The 4th quarter was all the Chiefs however, scoring 21 unanswered points and winning 31-20.
