Band History:
Bill Litzau and Open Highway was formed in 2016, by Bill Litzau, after
the breakup of Blurred
Vision (both Chad and Bill were members of Blurred Vision).
Originally, Open Highway was a 3 piece band with Bill on vocals and bass, John on lead guitar and vocals and
Cowboy on drums and
vocals.
In 2017 Chad re-joined Bill in Open Highway, taking over the drum seat when Cowboy left. Around that time,
the band became a 4 piece group when Kota joined on bass (15 yrs old at the time).
With Kota on bass, Bill switched to rhythm guitar, and lead guitar was covered by Chris, Joe and Rob.
Prior to Open Highway, Bill and Chad were members in Blurred Vision. This was a band started by Bill Litzau
in 2006 with a couple friends. In 2009 Chad joined Blurred Vision.
Over the next 7 years the band moved from Classic Rock to Country Rock/Variety incorporating both male and
female vocals. During this time, they played a number of Town Events, Country Fairs
and appeared at Winstock 2 years.
