There are three main ways to cool your PC, air, liquid and a combination of air and liquid. While liquid and electronics generally don't mix, liquid is the most efficient way to cool a pc but also the most expensive. You can get custom built tubing to cool all your components. The liquid runs along the components and pulls the heat away from them. Most people choose either air or a combination of air and liquid by using an all-in-one cooler (AIO). The AIO comes ready to use, no messing with liquid. The AIO circulates liquid through the radiator and against a metal plate that sits on the CPU. The liquid pulls the heat away from the CPU. Air cooling is the simplest and cheapest but depending on your components, may not be the most effective. Air cooling draws in fresh air and pushes out the warm air using fans. Many cases have fans for air cooling built in.
