DW Drums, also known as Drum Workshop, was founded in 1972 as a teaching studio by Don Lombardi. DW drums are a widely used drum brand. DW is famous for making fine-tuned, great sounding customized parts. They are just more expensive than other brands. I personally ranked this brand 5th place because, although this brand delivers quality sound, they do have some setbacks. My main issue with DW is that they make parts that no other brand does, so fixing a piece of DW hardware yourself can be quite difficult. They practiaclly design their hardware to be very diffucult to fix, and replacement parts are not cheap. Also, it is very difficult to fix a DW component, using a part made by another brand. Overall, I personally feel that DW drums are way too overpriced for what they deliver.
