Pearl was founded by Katsumi Yanagisawa,in 1946. In 1950, Yanagisawa shifted his focus to the manufacturing of drums and named his company "Pearl Industry, Ltd." In my opinion, Pearl drums are the most commonly used acoustic drums. They produce quality drums at great prices.They also manufacture top quality cymbals that are usually made of brass, whih is the best metal you can make cymbals out of. Pearl is one of the strongest names in drums. You can literally hit a Pearl kit as hard as you possibly can, and it most likely will not break. Pearl kits are known to last many years. For this reason, they are widely used among rock bands, because rock songs usually consist of loud, punchy drum sounds.
