What type of person would not make a good dog owner?

If you are some one who does not really enjoy an active lifestyle, dogs may not be the right choice of pet for you. Some breeds of dogs may require more exercise and play than others in order to remain healthy and happy. You also need to have the time to be able to commit to dogs. Since puppies and dogs are trained to go to the bathroom outside, you need to have a schedule flexible enough to accomodate that or make other arrangements to have someone else let them out. Another very important item to consider is the cost of food. Some breeds, especially larger breeds, will require more food.
Make sure to take all of these things in to consideration when choosing the right type of dog for you your family.
