Edward Lodewijk Van Halen was a Dutch-born American Guitarist, Producer, Songwriter, and the Co-Founder of the rock band Van Halen. Ed was known for his blistering guitar tone, his unique sense of Rhythm, and most importantly, his solos that involed a new trick that he called Tapping. After a debut album success, Eddie would take the world by storm with his innovative guitar ideas. And as the years passed, he would master his craft and continue to build a following that reached all over the world. People everywhere saw Eddie as The King of the Six String and 10 Fingers Edward. What ultimately brought him success was his style that incorporated Blues elements into the rock genre and, while frowned upon by lots of guitarists, was excessively modifying his instruments that suited his liking (Which wasn't often haha). Everytime he bought an instrument, he would tinker with it endlessly until he got what he wanted out of it. After tinkering with one of his guitars, he had made something... Something that changed how people viewed guitar. Something so rebellious and unheard of, yet loved and duplicated by millions... The Frankenstrat was born... And one day, after noodling in the studio while making the debut album. Something Erupted...

From 1978 to the present day. Eddie single handedly evolved the guitar. And fans today, both young and old, still look up to him as the king of rock.
